(So, as we dive into this wonderful world that, as stated before, is a few hundred years into the future from the ending so the Ninja world is changed and blah blah peace and jazz... XD So, this is also my first time with Forum events... So please give me time in the things I'm doing.. Thank you :) )

[Cue- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z32LM7V7Kac]

The leaves in the trees rustled at the edge of the forest as the cool wind blew through. The three Leaf Shinobi walked slowly along the path from the village hidden in the Mist, walking calming as they went. They were geared for a diplomatic mission, and seemed like they were all just simple Chunin as well. As they walked, the leaves rustled more and more, by someones movement or the wind; it remained unknown to them.

A owl sat on the back of the middle ninja, in its cage and continued to look out behind the group. After some time going through the forest, after the land of water was at least a mile behind, the owl began to hoot and flutter about.

"He's spooked.." The middle one said simply, starting to reach for his bag of Ninja tools.

"Calm down, Koro. He's just getting excited about getting home. We've been gone on this mission for a year now, you know." The man on the right said calmly, even stifling a yawn.

The man's hands still stayed on his bag of tools, he could tell something was up for sure. They continued walking, the man in the center remaining on high alert the whole time until the shadows jumped into their path.

---

The Hidden Leaf village seemed to sparkle in the new morning sun. It came through the sun came through the windows of every building in the village and through the trees of those already training in the woods around. That same Owl flew in that day, it's leg seemed to reflect some sort of metal from it.

The owl touched down at the Hokage building, only to be rushed in instantly to see him. The man's scrolls tumbled off his desk as the bird was rushed in and the door flying off its hinges. The man carrying the bird looked at the door for a moment before rushing over.

"Seika! This isn't good." he sat what made the owl's foot shine so much onto the desk. The headbands were cut, the leaf symbol barely able to be seen under all the marks... And blood.

The orange hair'd man sighed heavily, looking down at the headbands. "Summon the free Jonin and Chunin in this village... I'll need to speak with them right away..." The head hair'd man nodded quickly before he disappeared from the room.

"This won't be good.." The Kage breathed out slowly as he sat back. The 'camera' slowly pans out to show the whole village once again, and how peaceful it still is... For now.

A Sunagakure plate shone in the Konohagakure sun. It was tied loosely around the neck of Keiki Kasuse, a Sand shinobi with two puppet scrolls strung horizontally across his back and a ninja tool pouch at his hip. The hourglass symbol of the Sand would usually be a rather unusual sight for Konoha at any time other than the Chunin exams, but Kasuse was a special case.

Cut to a flashback of the Kazekage, speaking to the puppeteer in not necessarily a hushed tone, but a cautious one. "Kasuse..." his low, patient voice begins, "...this is an important exchange between two of the most inluential shinobi villages. Your presence in their village, along with their shinobi's presence in ours, not only represents this close alliance, but physically binds it." The Kage sighs. "Make us proud, Kasuse. You are one of our best."

Cut back to Kasuse in the Leaf. Initially, the presence of a Sand ninja within Leaf forces led people to mistrust his intentions -- as well as the Kazekage's -- but the civilian population along with the Konoha shinobi either came to trust Kasuse or became complacent to his presence as he assisted the village locally and afar.

The foreign plate bounced subtly as he stepped leisurely toward the commotion. Word had spread around the village that something important was going down, and anyone Chunin or higher was needed. Well, this is what he was here for, right? Assist the Leaf, solidify the alliance. When he saw the weaponsmith Tsukiko at the back of the crowd assembling at the Hokage's building, he took his place next to her. Under normal circumstances, he'd initiate the process of flirting, being ignored, flirting, and being broken, but something told him this wasn't the time to be fooling around, especially with the position he was in.

"Any clue what's goin' on here, Tsukiko?"

Light glinted off the steel of her blade, hanging off her back from a leather strap. A grizzly sight to behold, one edge smooth with the other a sawtooth pattern, it's size reminiscent of the Kubikiribocho used by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. And the one who held it, perhaps even less so physically, though the tomboy Jonin's reputation for being bloodthirsty and a rabble rouser more than made up for it. A thumb was tucked into her belt, where the Konoha symbol was hidden by the palm of her hand as she shifted from foot to foot. The crowd itself wasn't terribly big - There was no shortage of jobs, and the number of off-duty jonin waiting to be briefed was barely a fourth of their operating force.

Still, as Tsukiko frowned thoughtfully, she couldn't help but feel a little uneasy at the situation. A force this large wasn't to be trifled, even if it was a fraction of Konoha's fighting power, and she could only imagine what could have prompted a summons. Inwardly, she hoped her Genin had decided to play hooky for the day. It was only after lunch, so she couldn't fault them for taking a convenient 'nap'. Heck, it might be the only time she showed them some slack, unlikely though the scenario may be.

Shelving her worry, she shrugged as Kasuse approached her, looking between the entrance of the Hokage building and Kasuse himself. "Not sure. All I know is we all received a summons. Something big, looks like." She said, gesturing to the other gathered Jonin. "We'll find out soon enough, I suppose."

"Certainly not something I was expecting to come home to."

Satoshi Takeda refrained from sighing as he stepped through the crowd of his fellow Ninja. One hand clasped firmly around the hilt of his katana - strapped to his right hip - and the other tucked away in a pocket, the well-aged jonin pulled said appendage free and ran it through his thick, neatly trimmed beard. A lazy glance around gave him a good assessment: everyone had the same thoughts on their minds.

He came to a subconscious stop and rolled his neck, getting a few nice pops as a result. A simple exhale through the nose, and he looked back up, an unlit cigarette dangling between his fingers.

Whatever this was, he deep down knew he'd need a drag afterward...

---

"This is nice..." Taro Takeda let out a looooooong~ sigh, the hot spring relieving him of any stress and aches left over from the rest of the week. His sensei was awesome, but she was also a hard ass...and mean. So when she didn't even show up at their typical meeting point, he and his two older sisters wasted little time in running off.

"I said, 'this is nice'!"

"We heard you the first time!"

"Be quiet! Shush! Shhhh!"

Taro sighed again in exasperation. Picky girls, never letting him in on their conversations.

Sinking down, water covering the lower half of his face, Taro silently blew some bubbles. A sense of dread washed over the youngest Takeda. His master never showing up was thought to be a possibility that would never happen. And whatever called her away...

Nearby was a man completely oblivious to the commotion erupting around him. He stood, hunched over slightly and with a hand stroking his goatee, peering at a job board that had been conveniently erected just outside of Ramen Ichiraku. His strangely wolf-like eyes took their sweet time scrutinizing every poster, big and small, regardless of the subject matter. Whatever didn't jibe with him, he dismissed with a mildly annoyed with him, he dismisses it with a mildly annoyed "Nn..." This happened often.

"Sir!"

"Uh?"

Yushin's head literally slid into the restaurateur's view from behind the job board. The look on his face was bland for but a moment, before an eyebrow pointedly cocked itself up high, denoting he'd understood that it was he who was being addressed.

"Your order's ready!"

BAM!

The look on Yushin's face at that very moment was nothing short of priceless.

Tomoe sat in between the three chess boards, her hands blurring across them as she played three simultaneous games, her flowing ember locks hid the loose crimson robe covering her athletic frame. Her orbs flicking in between her three opponents she smirked almost wickedly as her hands moved decisively three times.

"Game set and match, you know where to leave the money."

She giggled melodiously as she walked away, the boards would be completely unmoved, her opponents trapped in a genjutsu she had laid over the boards months ago. Noting the growing crowd of people she remembered the message and as a Special Jounin she adjusted her tanto and hurried into the crowd, her body moving with a liquid grace as she found a spot near the back of a crowd, her gaze flicking around almost bored.
"All weapons are important to an Echani. A hand built weapon is part of the Echani. I built her by hand, crafting the hilt over weeks of trial and error. She is very much a part of me, like a child, or a spouse. With out the weapon, you cannot defend your life, if you cannot defend your life you have no life. So we treat our weapons with respect. We honor them, as they honor us by being our defenders, our tools, an extension of ourselves. A weapon is an extension of ones soul."

It took a little bit for the Hokage to actually come out, as a few more Ninja were arriving still too. There was a total of about twenty Ninja who weren't currently on a job or baby-sitting their teams on small jobs.

The doors opened, getting slammed loudly into the walls on either side of the doorway. The Hokage scratched the back of his head awkwardly as he walked out and looked at the new cracks in his building. He slowly moved back to the front of everybody after he looked to make sure nothing else was being damaged.

"SO! I'm sure you're all wondering why I called all of our available team leaders." He waited as he watched the Shinobi nod and mumble softly to eachother.

"Right! Well, as you all know there was a group of Chunin that was sent off to the Village in the Mist as representatives for us. They were do to come back by today for three different to take their place; but they couldn't make it." Seika raised one of the headbands up for them all to see, "These are the only things we got back of them."

A bit of louder muffled sounds came from the crowd around you, as well as one Jonin drop to her knees; clearly their teacher. Seika gave a sigh as he placed the headband back behind him. "I need two squads worth of people to go back after their bodies, and the rest of you to patrol the border. We can't let this continue to happen across the boarders or our strength will be questioned! "

The Hokage's purple eyes fell onto Kasuse and Tsukiko, "You two, in my office. WITHOUT, breaking the door this time, Tsukiko." And with that last bit he turned to his doors, moving back to the inside of his building. His assistants started naming off names for patrols, ordering everyone elses name who wasn't called to stay where they currently were. (meaning Tomoe and Satoshi being the only ones not called for groups)

Taro Takeda, Jun Takeda,Hotaru Takeda

The water was nice and relaxing for all of you, nurturing your sour muscles thanks to the wonderful hard work that your sensei has put on you. Though, as you relax, through the wall you can hear soft voices talking; rumoring something.

"I'm telling you!" a male voice hisses, "The ninja aren't going to return. Their owl carried in their headbands this morning!"

Then came a loud "THUNK!" Followed by a "splash".

"Oh come now." A woman's voice replied to him. "How would you even know that information?"

Though through a wall, it could probably be imagined that the man opened his lips only to be smacked again. "Shush and enjoy your bath!" The woman's voice hissed at him again.

Yushin Okami

Man did that food look good! Oh, boy did it smell good too. But boy when you tasted it, your head practically shot through the roof from the flavor alone! It was hard not to buy another one, then after that another one. And how the day would slowly slip by for you...

As the crowd dispersed, Kasuse and Tsukiko slowly came to a pace together towards the Hokage's office. 'Why me?' he thought. In years past, he had actually done more work with the leaf when he wasn't stationed here, and had been reduced to a sort of symbol in the last couple of them. A few A-ranks here and there, but nothing truly big. So why now?

He looked to Tsukiko. "Figured after all this time, the Hokage'd stop pairing me up with you. Good thing he didn't, eh?" He laughed in a sort of awkward, fill-the-time way. The scratching of his head made the headband that hung from it lilt a little side. "Think they'll put you with your Genin? And what about Satoshi-san and that Kurama lady, there?" He knew plenty of leaf ninja, but the latter one...not so much. Kasuse looked back at the two that had been left, an odd pairing indeed. He knew Satoshi mostly by reputation; strong will, sense of family, a very respected shinobi in the village. But that woman -- never sat right with him, possibly for the sole reason that he didn't know too much about her.

Tsukiko frowned, her expression pensive as the crowd began dispersing. The Hokage's summons along with Kasuse brought a grimace to her face. Did she trust him? Of course, but that didn't mean the man was tolerable. 'Lets go do this together' and 'lets take a bath!' According to Kaya, that was a mark of absolute trust, but she'd be damned if she'd let THAT happen. Then again, she could be confusing that last one with one of Kaya's gushing moments, but somehow Tsukiko wouldn't put it past the pervert.

Pausing at the entrance to give Kasuse a dirty look as though she were seriously considering breaking him on the doors again (It wasn't HER fault they weren't head-proof), she continues on towards the Hokage's office. "Dunno. If it is that serious, I'm not sure the Hokage would want them tagging along. Depends on what sort of forces we'd be facing. Far as Satoshi-san and the Kurama woman..." She shrugs. "Maybe. Maybe not."

"Well that was fairly pointless." Sato-san could only sigh, taking the time after the little speech to light up his cigarette. With a drag, he puffed out several smoke rings before letting the stick hang from his lips. Tucking his hands back to their regular posts, he would then turn on his heel and begin to move away. Until he saw the one other person who got left out of the action.

"Wouldn't you agree, Kurama-san?"

---

'Headbands? Ninjas not returning? Fuuma-Sensei not appearing? Wait..."

When everything hit Taro, he practically flew out of his bath. A rather brief shout to his sisters was all he could manage as he discarded his towel and figuratively just -appeared- in his clothing. Adjusting his little headband as he sprinted out into the streets, it was only after he had ran a good several blocks did it hit him...

He had no idea where his sensei was.

His sisters would find him curled into a ball, apparently drowned in sadness.

"Little over dramatic, don't you think?"

"You're surprised?"

(For anyone familiar with the anime Bleach, Yushin's routine with this particular kind of meal is eerily similar to one enjoyed by Yoruichi Shihōin. He rapidly devours several full-blown meals in a row before washing it all down by chugging a cheap beer until there's nary a drop left!)

(...)

The man behind the counter, while doing his best to act polite, was quite clearly a mixture of nervous and appalled by this behavior. "I... trust everything is to your liking, sir? Sir?" But Yushin Okami did't hear him, for the mercenary's attention was now focused entirely upon the speech that the Hokage was giving. "Have you heard about this?" Yushin asks without warning. When his server merely blinked with confusion, Yushin jerked a thumb over his shoulder toward the crowd for emphasis. "That. What your boss is talkin' about. Have you heard anythin' about this before?" The server, still staring at him blankly, shook his head from side to side 'no.' "Tch. I guess it would've been too much to hope for a lead this early on. Alright then!" Putting both hands on the counter he heaves himself up onto his feet. For a moment it looks as though the server is about to remind Yushin that he had a meal to pay for, but his words are stuck in his throat when Yushin fishes out four separate coin purses from beneath his robes.

"How much do I owe you for the meal?"

The man stammered out a price, and Yushin responded immediately by flicking
the bottom of three of the four different coin purses in his possession with his index finger once each, and in the same manner one might flick someone else's ear when they're trying to severely irritate them. With each flick came the exact coin needed to help accumulate the total, which was subsequently left on the counter in front of the spluttering man. After bidding him a gruff but polite "domo," Yushin muscled his way into the crowd, intent on getting a piece of the action. 'And the reward.'

Tomoe exhaled softly as she leaned back against the wall lazily, one sandal clad foot propping herself up as she looked over the man who was speaking to her lazily, her cola black orbs mixed in with flecks of a dull ember red scanned him from head to toe for several long seconds before she crossed her arms over her chest before speaking, her tone dull and seemingly uninterested.

"Not sure about you Takada san but if I'm not getting called into the Hokage's office feels pretty good, can't imagine the conversation in there is a pleasant one, you? The Suna envoy and our resident psychopath Jounin."

She exhales softly before watching him light his cigarette and take a couple drags and blowing smoke rings before exhaling softly and motioning to the cigarette with an off hand wave before speaking once more, her tone more annoyed than before, if barely.

"Those things'll kill you Takeda san, they'll kill you just like a kunai through the throat, but we all have our outlets, drinking, smoking, gambling. Guess we all die eventually."

Keiki Kasuse, Fuuma Tsukiko

It wasn't too far of a walk for you two to make it to the office. When you arrived the three headbands were laying across Seika's desk, as well as the pieces of papers and scrolls. His Gourd still sat next to his desk, and there was the ever present smell of sea water in the air of the office.

The Hokage stared out the window, giving a soft sigh as he did so. He glanced back at the two of you as you entered the room. "You didn't break the door... That's actually a surprise." The Hokage Admitted as he moved behind his desk where a chair would be; yet it appeared to be missing for the moment.

"Kasuse, as a representative of the sand village, I would like you go to as one of the team members that is going to look for the bodies." He looked over at Tsukiko, "As well as you and your Genin.. Are they ready for a B-rank mission?" He looked between the two, waiting for a response or an objection from either of them.

Satoshi Takeda, Kurama Tomoe

I'll leave this into your hands for now, since the two of you are just talking.

Taro Takeda, Jun Takeda,Hotaru Takeda

Some villagers walked by, laughing at the boy on the floor a little. "Isn't that Tsukikio's student?" A girl asked, another girl nodding to him in response. "Maybe that's why she was called into the Hokage's office, again?"

They were already walking away before the students could ask what they meant by it.

Yushin Okami

As you walk there are the constant whispers around you, yet no one stops you. In fact, people seem to be walking out of your way. When you're near the hokage building, suddenly someone slams into your back, knocking both of you off your feet.

The girls black and red hair hung over her face as she seemed to have landed directly onto it. The only thing that came from her, as you could only blink at the sixteen year old in a black cloak, was a small groan and "I'm sorry...." The timid voice came from under her hair.

Kasuse arches a brow ever so slightly. This definitely did not sit right with the puppeteer. 'Sending me to look for bodies? No way he thinks this is just gonna be a grab-and-go mission. Wouldn't require Tsukiko and I.' His hand instinctively gripped the handle of a scroll on his back, sealed with the kanji for "Virtue."

Cut once again to the Kazekage, behind a screen door, speaking to Kasuse just after giving him the orders to go to his new post in the Leaf. "Your loyalty," he continued, "is to the Land of Wind. Do not ever forget that. But you are to give the Hokage the same respect and obedience you would give me, Kasuse. Do not let your loyalties waver. For you, both as a shinobi and a citizen of the Land of Wind, this alliance holds the utmost priority; even over the Sand itself."

"No objection here. I'll do my best to serve, Hokage." The Keiki ninja bent himself into a bow, the ever-present strangeness of bowing to another kage lingering in his mind.

Tsukiko shot a glance towards Kasuse, expression reserved as she folded her arms. She had no doubt her Genin had progressed favorably, but none of this sat well with her. Mist village, Chunin not coming back alive. . . She sighed. "They can hold their own, Hokage-sama." Tsukiko replied after a moment's consideration.

The Jonin swept an inelegant bow, rising as she met the Hokage's eyes once more. "Anything else?"

"I wouldn't call her psychopath." Satoshi exhales, looking upward for a moment. "I wouldn't trust her with my family if she was."

"And it's not about how a Ninja dies, Kurama-san. It's about what they accomplished in life...and I'm content with what I've done so far." As if to emphasize his point even more, he took a very long drag of his cigarette.

----

Hotaru and Jun could only glance back at the two girls, giving each other a shrug as they turned back. And then they nearly face-faulted when they saw their brother was gone...again.

Taro himself straight up clambered to the top of the roofs of the buildings above, rushing into a sprint. His eyes seemed to instantly lock onto the top of the tower that housed the Hokage.

Yushin's eyes do a slow once over of the timid little thing that bumped into him before softening. "Tch." With his head now turning this way and that, as if to make sure nobody saw what he was doing, he extended his hand out so that she could take it and pull herself upright. Once she was back on her feet? Well, the man simply resumed walking toward his objective as though nothing had happened.

Tomoe holds her breath for a few long moments, her eyes flicking about restlessly before she lets out her breath in a long slow and controlled motion before speaking softly.

"Fair point Takeda san. In all honesty the woman terrifies me, a kunoichi like her, high in skill and combat proficiency who seems to actively -enjoy- combat from what I've seen is beyond my comprehension. It seems psychopath is a poor choice of words."

The Special Jounin feels a small tremor begin to affect her arm as it gently twitches and reaches into a pack on her hip and pulls a small pale tablet before placing it under her tongue before turning away from the smoke, coughing a few times before speaking once more.

"Fair point Takeda san, it really ought to be how we live that defines our legacy but if often our mistakes that often do so. It seems we are always chasing something, honor, power, respect. You seem to have achieved a goal, guess I'm just still chasing."

After she accepts his hand and gets up, she brushes her hair back so she can actually see. But that doesn't stop her from almost running into him again. Once she realizes they are both going to the Hokage's office, she stays a few feet behind him and follows him silently.

"You know... People would like you more if you weren't so agressive ~outside~ of a fight. And yes, that's all." As the two of you turn to leave however, "Kasuse, stay a moment."

The tow of you look at each other before Tsukiko just merely shrugs and walks off. Kasuse, you're now left alone with the Hokage... And a very serious expression on his face.

"I know this is a lot to ask of a representative, and I hope you forgive me for asking one more thing... Keep an eye on her. She is strong, yes. But I can't have her alone representing the village if something needs to be peaceful... So, I need you to be in charge on this one. For the sake of the village and the peace between the nations, at least keep her in a... Mostly straight line."

Satoshi Takeda, Yushin Okami, Kurama Tomoe, Hisoka Takame

As the two Jonin casually converse, with the coughs coming from Tomoe of course, the hairy figure of Yushin comes up past the two of you, seeming to be determined on the hokage building. Close behind him, was the teenage girl, who continued to stare into the man's back.
