"Wait, Scot free?! Did we leave behind Scotty!?! He was so young!" Valeiro looks around, searching frantically for the supposed 'Scotty."

Gabriel facepalms at Val's comment "Ignore him. I think he's got a couple of screws loose." He crosses his arms and looks back at his crew, then back to Thyss "So...What's the next target?"

Ally slowly slid onto her toes behind Val, shaking her head a little before she flicked him in the back of the head. She slid back down to her feet, stepping to the right and moving her arms behind her and standing at an "at ease" stance slightly behind Gabe.

Andy followed behind Qu with the rest of his team but said nothing.

Synda very slowly followed behind, still not having recovered fully from her attempt at healing the Twilek. Gare is beside her, offering to help her, but she stubbornly refuses. She also doesn't say anything, just sighs at the unnecessary banter as they await their next target.

Thyssen surveyed the team silently for several moments before turning his head to watch the procession of liberated slaves being marched down the ramp and onto the hot Tatooine sand. He appeared to be lost in thought; so lost, in fact, that it took a nudge from Xyrna to bring his mind back to the present. "What? Oh, right. Please, follow us back to the Specter. I'll brief you there. There have been some interesting developments while you've all been in transit."

As his back met the crew of the Argosy, he snapped his fingers and gestured to the slaves. At once, several teams of medical rushed forward to see to their additional care. Working together with the staff of the Hammerhead-class cruiser that had already been looking after them, they escorted them all inside. It was an interesting transition for the likes of Gabe and his friends, seeing it all go down literally alongside them as the Krupp brother detoured into another open-air hangar. There, the iconic YZ-1025 armed transport belonging to Thyssen lay idle with her ramp distended.

Apart from a certain lady Chiss who was busy cleaning her rifle wearing little more than her underwear, the rest of the Specter's crew was notably absent. As they approached, the Chiss looked up at them all and, beaming, said, "Ah, if it ain't the heroes of the hour! Well done out there. If the reports we've been readin' these past few days are true, then it sounds like y'all are responsible for shakin' up a hornet's nest!" Thyssen chuckled at this statement and tossed a somewhat wolfish grin over his shoulder, back at those who had decided to follow him. "She isn't exaggerating. The way you approached the situation has caused the Empire to start approaching certain things from a different angle."

Once inside, Thyssen lead the way up to the transport's lounge. He slid behind the only table present therein with the air of someone who was getting ready to order a meal. Xyrna scooted in beside him, while Ardenith stood off to the side, preferring to stick to the shadows. Khimerra (the Chiss) had opted to remain where everyone had discovered her. Thyssen gave his visitors one more once-over before pressing a button on the table, which promptly spewed out a hologram of a ship identical in every way to the last one that the FMMC raided. A few seconds passed, then the hologram appeared to pull back, showing everyone that this ship was flanked by two more of the same type. If anyone attempted to open their mouths, Xyrna would hold up a single, solitary finger, indicating that they should wait.

The hologram pulled out again, revealing that this trio of ships was in the process of being escorted by a lone Terminus-class destroyer. "Before any of you say anything, allow me to reiterate that you all made it away without being detected. What you see here is an inevitability made manifest. The KJC has been raiding Imperial trafficking operations for almost five years now. Honestly, it comes as something of a surprise that they've waited this long to figure out that their standard protocol needed to be tweaked."

Thyssen reached up and tapped at the edge of the hologram, which proceeded to run a simulation wherein all ships present in the convoy launched their compliment of starfighters simultaneously. "As you already know, just one of these Imperial transports carries a compliment of eight Mark VI Supremacy-class starfighters. Not really a big deal, considering that the pilots that you've got working for you fly superior craft and boast skills light years ahead of your average Imperial flyboy. But things start to get tricky when the enemy has superior numbers."

At this point, Xyrna took over for Thyssen. "When you factor in the complement of the Terminus, you're going to be looking at a total of 38 starfighters and 2 bombers against your dozen-plus. I don't doubt that your pilots are good - maybe even some of the best that the galaxy's ever produced - but you're all going to get yourselves killed if you don't adapt like the Empire has. Remember, the terms of the contract stipulate that you've got to do these jobs without the aid of my sister's aerospace assets, meaning that you will not be able to request reinforcements. Not from her, at least."

Thyssen paused for a moment to let all of this information sink in before asking, simply, "Questions?"

Valeiro raises his hand. "Yes, I have a question. Where is the refresher? I just realized that I've been holding it in for the last few hours, and now I really gotta go."

Once again, Thyssen reacts to Valeiro's randomness...
(No, he doesn't actually say all that.
But it is implied with his look.)

"Any other questions?"

Gabe crosses his arms together. "I'm just curious as to how we're supposed to get deal with the escorts without getting ourselves killed... I mean if we managed to disable them we would have a chance, but." he uncrosses his arms and strokes his chin a little. "Perhaps we could find out where they're taking these slaves, let them drop them off, and then we could raid the buyer's compound and rescue them?"

Thyssen would shake his head back and forth a few times before leaning over his "desk" to address the issue more directly. "Vaiken Spacedock is where they're going; the Seat of the Empire itself. Once there, the slaves will be tagged, sorted, and either shipped off to one of many Imperial-aligned planets or to sold to slaver scum operating out of the station's Cartel Bazaar. Your group may be lucky, Mr. Thorne, but they aren't that lucky. And before you say anything more, I would advise against trying to infiltrate the station and orchestrating a mass breakout. The second that they get wise to you, they will try to capture you. And if they succeed, they will ultimately break you, and that will mean the end for all of us. No, I think you were on the right path before. Your best chance of success will present itself if you somehow manage to disable the ships while they're still en route to their final destination. Xyrna, do you have anything to offer?"

Once again, the red-head takes over. "The convoy has booked passage through the D'Astan sector. Their route takes them through the asteroid field surrounding the planet Nez Peron. The world is controlled by the Sith Empire, primarily noted for exporting foodstuffs to the rest of Imperial space. Due to the dangers associated with asteroid field navigation, many of the normal Imperial patrols have been rerouted so as to prevent 'accidental death by interception.' If I were you, I would make my move while they're inside the asteroid field. Nobody will be expecting them to navigate the field quickly, and the asteroids themselves make long-range communication difficult at best. You have to realize though that if this is the course of action you decide to take, your timing must always be perfect with everything you do. A single misstep can lead to death."

"So... Alright, I think we can manage that." he sits back in his chair and stretches his legs a little as he crosses his arms "How long until they reach Vaiken? I'm assuming it's soon, right? I mean I just want to make sure we have enough time to set up the ion cannon before they get there."

Thyssen and Xyrna exchange a significant look before turning back to Gabe. Perfectly in sync, they lean forward in their chairs and ask him: "What ion cannon?"

"I'm sorry, I thought you were implying that you were going to help us get an ion cannon. Did I misunderstand, or...? I mean, you're right, trying to rescue these slaves without a way to disable the escort ships would be suicide." He rests his arms on his chair's armrests "If getting a cannon from you isn't feasible, then what about some Ion bombs?"
"The smew honks at noon."

Thyssen leans back in his chair and surveys the man across from him. Nearly ten seconds pass in complete silence as the man in the salmon-colored coat strokes his goatee, contemplating the request and the potential ramifications that could come with accepting it. Finally, he nods. "Alright, but you're going to have to pay for them. And mind you, they won't be cheap. "

"I don't have a problem with paying, so long as we get compensated for it. That being said, I'll have the money transferred over to you here in just a couple of minutes." At that he gets up out of his chair, stretches and then puts on his helmet and heads towards the exit of the ship.

Thyssen raises his hand in acknowledgement of Gabe before looking at the others. "Just 'cause he's gone doesn't mean the floor's closed. If any of you have anything you'd like to ask or add, now's the time."

Valeiro raises his hand. "Hey, bossman! I've got a friend who can help us out. He's got some ships that can help us in the assault." The huge psycho runs a hand to sleek back his bright red hair. "And don't worry, he'll do it for free. The guy hates slavers."

With a sigh, Thyssen leans over the table and turns Valeiro's chair around so that he's facing Gabriel's retreating form. "Tell him that."
